Re: NHL 2015, Part 3: Stanley Cup and Offseason

Maybe you should think about it a little more critically.

I got the 3 reference immediately as I am engaged in what's going on.

Much like the Packers, the Hawks and other Chicago teams (especially the Bears) are constantly trotting out their former players and celebrating their teams' past accomplishments.
I'm critical in the sense that they should remember all titles, but I also understand that in today's marketing...what have you done for me lately?

Re: NHL 2015, Part 3: Stanley Cup and Offseason

Those are the ones who did.
Then that's cool.

Maybe if you were paying attention instead of taking chip shots from the disgruntled Wing fans' seats, you'd think about all of this before posting that as proof of something.
Awwww, does the wittle bwackhawk fan still have a "Marcia, Marcia, Marcia!" complex even after his team won the cup three times in six years?

Wow. So I took a shot at the "Bandwagon" fans. How about you scrape the sand out of your mangina and enjoy this victory? Jesus.

Whatever. I've been on the record many, many times as having zero feelings about the Wings. All of my hatred was used up on the North Stars until the Canucks came along.

You take shots at Hawks fans from time to time coz you're stuck living there and it eats at you. It's pretty obvious who has the complex.

Even for the "Detroit Sucks" Hawks fans, the Wings are WAY in the rearview mirror these days.

Get over yourself.

No. Critical in realizing what the 3 was referencing.

Trust me, Chicagoans LIVE to tell you about ancient titles that their teams have won.

Talk to a Cubs fan sometime.

Re: NHL 2015, Part 3: Stanley Cup and Offseason

I'd admit it if I didn't like the Red Wings.

I'd glory in that hatred as I do all of my sports hatreds.

Ask any Gopher fan here. I don't hide it.

I am a Cubs fan, casually. (Before this whole interleague BS).

And that's what I figured with the 3. I don't like it, but that's the theme they are rolling with.

Meh.

When a team wins back to backs or 3-petes, that's what they talk about from a marketing standpoint.

Winning 3 in 6 years of the salary cap era has been touted to us by all who talk about it as special. That's why they're using it.

There will be 6 banners hanging next year. No titles will be forgotten.

Again, that is what I figured.

There's plenty to dislike Chicagoans about. Dig a little deeper next time.

Just found out yesterday that my current boss is a Chicago native. He was telling me how superior and courteous Chicago drivers are. I kept my mouth shut - at least about that, after giving him a large ration of crap over the route he chose to go to the event we went to.

That's not just Chicago. It isn't an uncommon phenomenon for natives of a particular area to think everyone else's driving is a problem.

Same phenomenon exists with congress. As a whole the institution has an approval rating of about negative 7, yet everybody keeps reelecting their own member of congress. The other 434 all bite the big one, but MY guy, he (well in my case she) is A-OK...

...but yeah, none of you people know how to drive and you're all in my way...

And Toews is still the first guy I take when I'm building my team from scratch...:p:D

Re: NHL 2015, Part 3: Stanley Cup and Offseason

aparch...

The Parade and rally is on NHL Network starting now.

Wouldn't want you to miss it. :p

:D

Re: NHL 2015, Part 3: Stanley Cup and Offseason

CM Punk on the local coverage...

Lol.

EDIT: He's actually been really good.

If you're going to complain about bandwagon fans, at least have some fun with it. For instance, walk through the parade crowd and count how many people still have price tags on their team apparel. ;)

There was a local reporter the other night or maybe it was last Cup ( they are starting to blend together :p) who said something to the effect of "Bobby Hull is looking down from heaven with a big smile on his face."

:D:D

Bet that would be news to him.

Re: NHL 2015, Part 3: Stanley Cup and Offseason

Impossible to beat winning a cup, but the game that will be played this offseason by Hawks' management will be another challenging performance that will be very interesting to watch. They play that game pretty well too.
