Re: NHL 2015, Part 3: Stanley Cup and Offseason
Some of the things their doing are weird. My parents have a half season ticket to the Adirondack Flames who are swapping with Stockton. They've announced they are increasing ticket prices for next year. Basically they are swapping a higher league for a lower league and asking people to pay more. The Flames folks said they just have to "educate" people when they got some backlash. The Albany Devils play an hour up the highway, my parents live basically between the two arenas, and it's not like the Flames have any history in the area they've only been there for one year before they pulled this California swap
It's going to be awkward when they raise the banner in Manchester. Wonder if Ontario raises a banner too.
(I know Ontario won't but it's funny that the AHL franchise wins a cup and then they inherit them. The whole Pacific Division is going to be weird next year in the AHL. The five California teams will only play 68 games, the rest of the league 76.)
