Yeah... how about no.

How about he!! NO!

In other news:

Ontario Provincial Police have charged Buffalo Sabres forward Ryan O'Reilly with impaired driving.

The OPP said Monday in a release that police were dispatched to a single motor vehicle crash on July 9, where a green Chevrolet pickup truck struck a commercial retail building and the occupants left the vehicle.

Media reports say the truck crashed into a Tim Hortons in Lucan, Ont.

I'm sure the Sabres are thrilled they just committed to spending $7.5 million a year on him.

So, if convicted, could he even play in games in Canada? If convicted of a DUI, you cannot enter Canada for 10 years after the conviction date.

Yes, you can. They have "rehabilitation" fees.

Plus, I'm pretty sure that doesn't apply to Canadians...of which O'Reilly is one.

Thank you for the clarification. This actually was a discussion at ShirtlessGuy's housewarming party about a week ago.

Technically, you can kill someone (manslaughter) and get into Canada, whereas with a DUI, you generally can't.

From my experience, I suspect he'll likely plead to the included charge of driving with over 80mgs of alcohol in his blood and perhaps to the fail to remain. Over 80 is a summary offense (misdemeanor here in the US) and the FTR is a traffic offense so he'll likely get a fine, a 1 year license suspension and perhaps community service.

I doubt that it will affect his immigration status.

Much like the article says, I'd be more excited for that game than the one the next day.

Any chance of a bench clearer?

With Maxwell, Dino and McRae and if Secord shows up I'd give it better than even chance. ;)

6 year, $41.25 million extension for Ryan Kesler. He'll be 32-38 years old for the deal. NMC for the first five years, limited NTC for the sixth.

This would have been a great deal for the Quackers like four years ago.

Re: NHL 2015, Part 3: Stanley Cup and Offseason

I have to imagine that the "Secord Sucks" chant will be on full display.

I'll be disappointed if it's not.

Are you looking at getting tickets to the game? The arena should seat around 50,000 with the expanded bleachers the Vikings added.
