Re: NHL 2015-16: John Scott for MVP!

Wings snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

Absolutely amazing stretch in the middle of the game, and then they fizzled out. Twenty-five is looking like it's going to be the toughest.

Re: NHL 2015-16: John Scott for MVP!

They've got one left with both Philly and Boston. They've got to win both in regulation, or I think they're dead.

Bad play. He'll be punished.

Anything else?

Can I get any of you a tissue?

Maybe one for Chahlie to get the blood off his nose. Shaw may need one too after getting beat by little Dumba in like Dumba's second NHL fight.;)

Re: NHL 2015-16: John Scott for MVP!

Many of you (and Wild fans in general) were defending Cooke in here not too long ago for a far more egregious play.

You lost the moral high ground.

It was a bad play. It happens in hockey AT ALL LEVELS.

It will be punished - which will hurt the Hawks - and we'll all get on with our lives.

Yeah... that was a draw.

Not like Shaw is a fighter either.

Good to know that the fight is what you're most proud of from last night though. ;)

EDIT: Shaw 5'11" 179 Dumba 6' 193 Shaw did well to get the draw.

No, I just figured that it would loom large on Hawks fans radar.:D (I admit I didn't even see the fight live and had to look it up this morning.)

In general, I'm bored with NHL fights and wish they'd go away completely.

That said, when one of my team's players is in one, I want him to win. Was a good middleweight scrap. For whatever that's worth.

The post (singular) where they (plural) blame Coyle?

Find that needle.

Whatever cranks your turn. I personally don't care. The entire NHL safety dept. is a bigger clown show than the NFL safety dept. so it really makes no difference. I wouldn't be shocked if he got no games and I won't be shocked if he gets 15. Doesn't matter to me. Usually when a Wild player gets blown up there are no suspensions because of the gaps in the rules. Ballard's career was ended on a blatant charge from across the rink and nothing happened. It was a hockey play. I'm sure plenty of people can claim this was a hockey play. Hell, you said yourself, it happens ALL the time.

I might just have to find some new sports. Violence is fun and all but it's starting to get a little old for me.

I'll jump in: That was a pretty dirty play. I'm sorry but swing your stick into to a guys face from your back on the ice is pretty bush league. Given Keith's history is should be 7-10 but likely 5.

Agree.

I guess I'm at a point where it's "business" and not emotional. I've been consistent in calling out cheap plays on these boards - whether my team(s) or any other players.

He should be punished and will. After he serves his time, life goes on.

Glad Coyle is okay and that it wasn't something like a cfb, knee to knee or head hunting.

It seems that some want me (and Hawks fans) to feel bad or apologize. I don't and won't. I root for the team and have no control over, nor responsibility for, the players.

Keith has a hard time controlling his response(s) at times. He's not the first and won't be the last. It's a character flaw and I hope he can get ahold of it before he really hurts someone - and his team.
