Re: NHL 2013 - The Lower 48.

I'm trying to figure out if the Wild just woke up in this game, or if they lucked into tying it with 2 goals in about 10 seconds.

The San Jose Sharks are angels, evidently.

Well, with Clowe gone and Raffi Torres (oh god does that hurt to type) not playing for us tonight, we are indeed angels. Angels who glide down the ice, burn a Norris caliber defender and then deke out a Vezina caliber goalie.

The Wild in no way deserved to win, so the officiating didn't bother me as much as it may have. Those things tend to even out over the course of a season. Unless you are the Ducks, of course.

Other than some stretches in the 2nd, when the first line was tearing it up, they played like ****. But, I guess I don't know about the third, I didn't bother staying up for it.

Was that Suter with the flat-footed sweeper? Ouch! :D

I didn't hear anything about the Wild trading for a goalie.

Proud alum? :D

Kind of looked like a traffic cone didn't he?

I hate that feeling. It's like "Oh ****, I'm totally flat-footed and this guy's coming fast!":eek:

Just funny to see that Bantam-C-Level sweep at the puck from a pro. Can happen to anyone. :D

As far as him being an alum, he was here for a cup of coffee. That said, he's always been personable when I've see him around at the Middleton rink that his dad used to run and he was cool to my kid (and all the other kids) when coaching him (them) at camp.

I like Ryan and I wish the Hawks had gotten him instead of you guys, but we're all full at D and couldn't have paid him that much. I know he's happy playing close to home - his parents used to go see him play against the Hawks when he was with Nashville, so I'm sure they head up to St. Paul routinely.
