Stay classy, Rockford.

What a bunch of a**hats. I'd post more, but it would just be a series of characters. Jeremy Morin showing his true colors yet again by throwing cheap shots from the bench.

I must be seeing this wrong, but it looks like a Wolves player is throwing haymakers from behind the partition.

I get that you don't like Rockford, but...

I doubt too many of the minor league fans that were there were disappointed to see this.

To me it seemed that Rockford started it, and Chicago took it to the next level.

Re: NHL 2013 - The Lower 48.

First, why was't the door latched? Second Why did Morin live up to his name and start throwing rights at Desbiens?

I'll admit Vandermeer should have never started down the receiving line on the Icehogs bench, but it was the usual goon bullsh*t from Rockford to start.

And tough guy Brookbank earlier in the game cross checked Desbiens into the boards, then refused to dance, instead looking for a linesman. Then, at the end of the game (there was still four seconds to play after this) Brookbank boards Archibald and when the linesman steps in, THEN Brookbank finds his sac and wants to throw down. While the linesman is holding Archibald.

There were a few longtime Blackhawk fans disgusted with the Icehogs play and cringe because they know these morons will be rewarded with a call-up soon.

Re: NHL 2013 - The Lower 48.

The Wolf throwing haymakers is Devin DiDiomete. Our coach was restraining him to make sure he didn't pound another opponents skull into the ice like he did last year in the ECHL with the Bluejackets farm club the Chicago Express.

I expect Vandermeer and Polasek from the Wolves to be suspended and Moron err Morin and Flick from the Icehogs.

A friend ran into one of the Rockford coaches after the game and asked him about throwing Morin away from the scrum: "We all hate the kid, I've been wanting to do that to him for two years."

You're a Wings fan living in Chicago. I get that you don't like the Hogs or the Hawks or Chicago media or the reactionary fan base and on and on...

As far as call-ups, who's gonna get rewarded with a call-up for gooning it up? The parent club doesn't play that way in the least, in fact they're too soft. Hayes got the most recent call-up and he's not much of a goon.

Been to Rockford? This club is tailor made for that poop-hole whether you or other "longtime" Hawks fans like their goonery.

If (when) I go to an AHL game, I hope something like this breaks out. I enjoy a good donnybrook with my minor league hockey.

Re: NHL 2013 - The Lower 48.

I've been to the MetroCenter more than a few times. Was there when the Icehogs were a UHL team. The problem is, the AHL ISN'T the UHL. The fans b*tched when they moved to the AHL because "there wasn't as much fighting." Even after coaching changes, the Icehogs still play like a UHL team, and the Rockford locals eat that **** up.

And really? You go to minor league games HOPING for sh*t like this? I'd rather watch well executed plays, and great scoring chances instead of cheap shot artists. Are you sure you're not an Anaheim and Flyers fan?

Again, as I said, tailor made for Rockford and the Bud Light guzzlers.

To your other point, cfb, boarding, spearing & slashing? No.

A bench clearer every once in a while to blow off steam? Absolutely! :D

And I'm a fan of one team only. I don't have a second favorite. ;)

Re: NHL 2013 - The Lower 48.

Jordan Schroeder got called up. Jensen would have gone, but AV knows he can put Schroeder on the PP and what lines he'll work with.

Re: NHL 2013 - The Lower 48.

Interesting rumor developing: The Chicago Wolves will not be affiliated with the Vancouver Canucks next season. They will instead be the AHL affiliate of the St. Louis Blues.

The Blues, who own the AHL affiliation used by the Peoria Rivermen, will sell the AHL rights to the Vancouver Canucks.

If true, that would mean the Canucks could then park their affiliation in Abbotsford. Where the Heat move to, well, Calgary has a history of turn and burning locations and Utica is rumored to be their next home.

Any word from the Wild how their farm club negotiations are going? Peoria would be closer than Houston and is already established as a minor league hockey town.

Re: NHL 2013 - The Lower 48.

McKenzie reporting on Twitter that former NMU goalie Jared Coreau will sign with the Wings. I assume he's headed to Toledo as soon as the ink is on the contract; this is the guy Tech torched and a crappy Michigan team hung a playoff series total of 9 on.

The Wild should move the Areos to North Dakota and revamp the Sioux ;)

Hoping with these goaltenders leaving that it isn't a sign for Stephon Williams.
