I'd rather have this than the Flyers winning.

Setoguchi and McGinn were the big party animals last season for the Sharks, from what drunk fans in the Bay Area said. Both were traded by the end of this season.

Come playoff time, I'll take a dunk Setoguchi over a sober Marleau.

Seto's nowhere close to Cheechoo, if only because Cheechoo was literally as slow as you could be and make the NHL and double hernia surgery took that half step that turned him from a 28/56/37 goal scorer into an AHL forward. Seto will get another half dozen years because of his 31 goal rookie season, if nothing else.

The last three series where I remember Marleau acting alive in the playoffs have been Dallas '08, Chicago '10 and Vancouver '11. When he starts scoring, I assume they're about to be eliminated these days. The other two years, it's happened before he got his dozen practice playoff games in.

I meant he'll be like Cheechoo in that he'll ride that great year for a while before people realize he's just not as good as they think he is. And I'm finally in the just dump Marleau camp, if Joe Thornton can up his 'snarl' and actually be a leader and improve when he needs to, I'd have thought Patty could too. Guess not. I still think shipping out Marleau and Boyle for picks and actual PKers to make a big run for either Suter (first choice) or Parise is the way to go.

I guess letting a team take like 20 straight shots eventually comes back to bite you.

Rooting for a party in the Flyers-Devils series is like rooting for being shot or being stabbed.

These are not your father's New Jersey Devils. They have some entertaining attacking players. And noone that even vaguely resembles Scott Stevens.

The only constant is the old guy in goal.
