As long as it's not the Bruins.

agreed. The pricetag seems too high for nash for many clubs. The bruins need a replacement for Horton, and will be interested to see if they get one in the off season.

I really hope they keep lucic. This is the type of player that makes boston difficult to play against.

Benoit Pouliot from Boston to Tampa in exchange for Michel Ouellet and the #131 pick this year (Seth Griffith, C).

Twitter rumors of Luongo to the Blackhawks if they can make the money work.

Look at it this way - was Kirk McLean the bad guy when the Canucks lost in 1994?

If Kessler wasn't injured and the Sedin Sisters had done their job, VAN would've likely fared better last year.

I know the Hawks need a goalie, but Luongo?

Sakic was a no brainer. I'm surprised Sundin got in on his first shot and Shanahan didn't. Bure and Oates are good choices.

Oates gets the call on the same day he's announced as the new coach of the Caps. Not a bad day at all.

Not much to argue with there.

Bure: One of 10 players with five or more 50-goal seasons; probably would have had more if injuries hadn't basically ended his career when he was barely 30.
Oates: Perhaps underappreciated by some because he split his prime years among four different teams (and, subjectively, underappreciated by me because he was basically the same player as Ron Francis but not quite as good); sixth all-time in assists. Won the NCAA title with RPI in 1985. Three-time junior lacrosse league MVP.
Sakic: One of 7 players with 500 goals and 1000 assists. Captain of two Stanley Cup champions, won the Hart Tophy and Lady Byng Trophy in 2001.
Sundin: Very good for a LOOOONG time. 13-time 30-goal scorer, for the first time at age 21 and for the last time at age 37. From 1991-92 to 2007-08, never had fewer than 27 goals and 35 assists in a full season. Could beat the snot out of the other three inductees.
