NFL 2023-24. Now without Dan Snyder!

I'm gonna say it; Bill Belichick is a fraud.

I hate Belichick, Brady, the Patriots, the Patriots' Fans, Mas-sholes, and the People of Boston in their ascending order of pathetic douchiness. But Belichick is the GOAT. I hate it but it's true.

BB is obviously one of the great defensive minds in NFL history. No one is better at figuring out what it is you want to do, then figuring out a way to stop you from doing it and forcing you to do something you don't want to do.

But to call him the GOAT is sort of like calling Phil Jackson the GOAT in the NBA. They are the GOAT at being in the right place at the right time.

Was it Belichick, or was it just great players?

Didn't do much to neutralize that Cowboys offense.

Fair or not, if Bud Grant wins 2 SBs he's in a lot more conversations.

On that note, the Secret Base series on the Vikings this fall has been great. As someone not from MN and born in the 80s, I've primarily come away with how great Bud Grant was.

This is good.

Coming of age in the 70s, these are the teams that should always suck:

Bills
Patriots

Browns
Bengals

Chargers
Chiefs

Giants
Eagles

Packers
Bears

Saints
49ers

The Niners were fun team in the early 80s. Worst (79) to first (81) and with some regular-guy heroes (Bill Ring).

As a coach, not a chance, as a GM, he has missed more than he has hit.

I think this is spot on. Bill was pretty creative at shutting down some amazing opponents, and a lot of that was on D and not Brady.

But his ego of judging people has shown to be about average as any other GM. Or slightly below average now.

He went with a lot of players including RB and WR that a lot of teams would not have featured and it most often worked out. But most everyone has a shelf life and he's probably reached the end of his.

It’s almost as if he’s doubled down on that, but then can’t help the untalented. Or Brady did spoil him on the whole “do your job” thing.
