As a Lions fan, the worst thing you can have is hope. Last year it was Hard Knocks, and it took most of the season to recover from that. This year it's everyone saying that the Lions already won the Norris, and that this game was possible even before two KC players were out.
While it's not the same Lions- they are competitive, you can feel it's not what everyone hyped up the hope with. Hopefully, in the remaining 1.9 quarters, I'm proven wrong. There's that word again- hope.
********. Now I have hope again.
I think they might actually be good.
If the Lions win their next game, that's a streak.
Take what you can get. 1 is a number. It's a streak.

That's true Lions fan optimism right there. One game winning streak. Awesome!
Kep- come to Detroit some time, you'll fit right in.
See, that's exactly the problem. Even when they have been good, what have the fans actually gotten?
But yea, that line. And as frustrating as it was to see Mahomes run all over the place, the D is more like the second half than the first half of 2022. And the non Lions fans should notice the calls that tilted away from Detroit- like when Hutch was tripped and didn't get called, and the next drive a KC defender jumped over the running back that he leveled- and because they intertwined a little, he got a 15 yard tripping call. Or KC's tackle who lined up as a back- to get a better angle on the defenders- his head should be at least near the waist of the center. Or the number of clean holds that were only called when the defender was hauled down from behind. Thankfully, KC got so used to holding that they did it really badly on their last drive and had to get called for it.

Yeah the defense was what held them back last season, and it looked better last night. We will see how improved against Seattle next week. This is the first time in a long while I've been excited to watch the Lions. Still feels weird.
Just noticed J-E-T-S will L-O-S-E on MNF.
