I ran the dvr back to that 4th down play, cranked the volume up and didn't hear a whistle until Ryan crossed "the line to gain"(as they like to say nowa days).

I read this is the first time this late in the season that both the Lions and Jets are playing with playoff implications since 1997.

More of an example of how much the NFL sucks this season than how good either team is. Watching the game is painful.
 
I think it is also the extra game.

While that is accurate, there are a LOT of bad games this season. No idea why. This game is as much bad offense as it is well played D. And it's kind of an example to me that Dan Campbell needs some help- the play calling has been pretty questionable at times. It's great the team is playing better, but the coaching is still sucking.
