NFL 2022-23: How About A Lions vs. Jaguars Super Bowl?

There is nothing the NFL needs more than a Dolphins-Vikings Super Bowl rematch, but while it is possible I'll be rooting for the Giants vs the J-E-T-S.

Over the summer, I thought there was a really good chance we could get a Yankees-Mets World Series.

Instead, we are seeing an actual possibiliy of a Giants-Jets Super Bowl. That's insane!!!! (However, though I love the Jets defense -- and defense does win championships -- I am not sold on Zach Wilson. Not at all. I can never imagine the Jets being involved in a game like the Bills-Vikings one.)

P.S. A Bills-Vikings Super Bowl would be kind of funny. Especially for the losing team...

Interesting stat on NFL Live:

League-wide average of 11 yards per completion is the lowest since 1933. League-wide average of 4.5 yards per carry is the highest in history.

Potential historic lake effect storm to hit western NY, with 3-6 feet in the Buffalo area, late this week into the weekend.

For those of you who love your snow football games, tune into the Browns at Bills game, as Orchard Park will be at the center of the snowfall.

The NFL will move it to Monday or Tuesday...

They don't like bad weather games anymore... It costs too much money to prep and doesn't make any money.

The majority of the snow in Orchard Park should be done by Saturday afternoon, so they'll have plenty of time to get the stadium ready for the game. The roads on the other hand could be an issue.

Can't move it to Monday or Tuesday, the Bills have the early game on Thanksgiving in Detroit.

Fun fact: The last time the NFL moved a regular-season game was in November 2014. The Bills were scheduled to host the Jets on a Sunday afternoon, but more than 6 feet of snow fell in the area ahead of the game, resulting in the two teams facing off in Detroit on a Monday night. The Bills won 38-3.

The hits keep coming for Team Washington.

ASHBURN, Va. -- The District of Columbia's attorney general on Thursday filed a second lawsuit against the Washington Commanders, alleging that the team has cheated its residents out of "hundreds of thousands of dollars" in unreturned security deposits for season-ticket holders.

D.C. Attorney General Karl A. Racine said in a statement that Commanders executives engaged in "egregious mismanagement and illegal conduct."

The latest lawsuit alleges the team has held onto potential refunds to season-ticket holders whose contracts with the team had expired. It claims the team still holds "nearly $200,000 in unreturned security deposits" paid by D.C. residents.

I feel pretty much the same way, though the small town character should be worth something. Rogers is one of the all time best, but he's proven himself a tiresome idiot the last couple of years.

Best at what? Throwing the ball, perhaps? Not leading and winning more than others. Russell Wilson has been to more SB's than he has. It's interesting that people insist of calling him the BOAT and all he's really done is dominate a pretty weak conference. He's one of the best at self promotion- so much so that he kills his own team's ability to keep talent.

Anyway, going on the title of this thread, if the Lions manage to win this weekend, they will be ahead of the Packers in the conference. And given that- the talk of them going to the playoffs when people still don't think of the Lions for anything is really funny.

Yeah, I didn't mean to imply he's the all time best--just in the honorable mention range. I'd take a lot of others over him to lead my team. I guess I was being generous because I don't like him. Proven himself to be Freedom Caucus level dope.

Sorry if you think that was directed specifically at you- it was not for sure. I was riffing on your post based on Rogers constantly being called the Best of all time compared to Brady being the GOAT. And I just can't see why they constantly give him that title. Sure, he's one of the best QB's in the NFL, but THE best? No- to make it even worse, Matt Safford has as many SB appearances and wins as Rogers does- if he was that great, it should be much easier for him to win playoff games. When 6 out of 16 of your games are against the NFC Norris, it's not as if it's a massive challenge over time.

Anyway, his off season antics has certainly cost the Packers a lot. Especially his current pay- he's gutted his team of talent. Let alone his constant reminder to people that he's two time MVP (that has lead to exactly zero SB appearances) really is putting the blame of the current performance on the rest of the team instead of him.

As a Lions fan, his reaction to losing to Detroit made some serious bulletin board material- he gave zero credit to the Lions for winning that game. In spite of GB's supposed decent D getting scored on twice and his 3 INT's were actually caught and not dropped by Detroit defenders- they fooled his eyes and brain to throw those.

;n3769692]Trent Dilfer has more SB wins than Dan Marino, so just maybe team success isn't a QB stat.

So Rogers will end up in the Hall of Fame. Fine. One of the best perhaps, but not THE best.

But team success does matter in terms of how good a QB is, IMHO. Great players know how to elevate the entire team.
