NFL 2019-20: The Patriots Are A Terrible 11-3 Team!

Since coming to Tampa in 2020, Tom Brady is 4-0 against NFC teams in the playoffs. Since Brady came into the league in 2000, Dallas has 3 total playoff wins

Listening to Cowboy comments post game- IMHO, they have lost a few years of benefit of the doubt calls. Dac blamed the officials for the end of the game when it was actually his fault that it took so long. He should have handed the ball to the ref to place it, instead they placed it themselves and then got upset when the refs did what they were supposed to do.

And if they do get a few years like that, I'm fine with it.

Local news here understand how bad the Lions are- the news of Stafford and the Rams winning that game was more important sports news than the Red Wings winning this morning.

I know people are surprised how the Colts fell apart at the end of the regular season, but Reichs have a way of not sustaining their success for that long.

Here in south central WI, it's about 20 degrees with a westerly wind at 15 mph. It's so warm everyone will have their shirts off at Lambeau tonight.

That was a heck of a game. Both the Titans and Bengals had their momentum, only to give it up. Burrow got sacked so many times, I can't remember- for sure a record was set for sacks for a winning QB. The Titans were moving the ball late, only to call two pretty lame plays to give the ball back to the Bengals. The game losing INT was a great defensive play- getting the hand out to tip it.

And it was a game that I reasonably like both teams. So that was fun- lots of really good defense.

Another exciting ending! But the Rogers' rate wasn't enough- the 'Niners pulled that one out mostly with special teams. Jimmy G didn't have to do much.

The final combined stat line for the 2 winning quarterbacks in today's division playoff games:

39/56 479 yards 0 TD 2 INTs 13 Sacks

Other than the yardage Burrow put up, how in the world do you win with the rest of those stats? Give a lot of credit to SF's defense, though- they really contained Rogers after the start of the game (which I missed watching the Michigan-Minnesota game).

Yeah, pretty crazy. I watched the first drive and thought Green Bay was going to roll, so I flipped around and watched some curling. I turn it back over and SF was driving near the end of the first half, and then saw Jimmy G's INT, the deep ball to Jones, and then the blocked FG. I went back to curling, and then came back when it was 10-3 with SF driving midway through the fourth, when they turned it over on downs in the redzone. Then the blocked punt, return TD, the Packers' 3-and-out, and then the final drive. Very satisfying to watch the Packers lose in that fashion.

Another crazy stat: San Francisco had 3 drives into the Red Zone, and managed a total of 3 points from those drives.

Prior to the game a long time SF friend told me that frigid Packer weather might be just the thing for the Niners. They can't win a shootout with Jimmy G, and their D line and linebackers are their strength, so a grinder game was their best hope. Pretty hard to anticipate two blocked kicks, though. Nice to see Rogers get cancelled in his own home.

Should be some entertaining fb today.
