When I was in high school, our coaches told us we couldn't wear chains during practice or games for that very reason.

more importantly, when mookie was young and bussed tables he learned that restaurant mgrs of a particular type of place always wore clip on ties :p

Yep. Played bouncyball in HS (Cooper for the locals) and we'd get warned about jewelry. If we didn't comply, it was a technical foul.

Agreed. Then again, jewelry has no place on the field, no matter the sport, IMO.
