Re: NFL 2016-17: Your Fantasy Team Will Suck This Year.

I guarantee you that the NFL and networks have models for compensating for this type of situation. No, they're never perfect, but they'll have strong ideas for % gain/loss in audience due to Xmas week games. Ever since the late 90s, it's become the standard to play a regular season weekly schedule during the holiday, so they have metrics in hand.

I really don't understand why they don't do noon/330pm/730pm every saturday once they are allowed to in December...or at least after NCAA COnference Championship games end?

Didn't they used to split the games almost 50-50 between Saturdays and Sundays once the college conference championships ended until perhaps 10 years ago? I have no idea what happened to make that policy change. Better than Thursday night games, that's for certain.

Saturday games in Week 15 & 16 went away when the "Your Ad Here!" Bowls became prominent.

I hate Saturday games far more than I hate Thursday games.

So apparently the NFL is now calling penalties for a QB sliding INTO a defensive player.

Re: NFL 2016-17: Your Fantasy Team Will Suck This Year.

Terrible RTP call. That was in the middle of the tackle. Plus, it was possibly intentional grounding. I didn't see a receiver nearby, even though it DID make it to the line of scrimmage.

Figures that the Chargers would put themselves in the position to screw up the Browns' perfect season.

Regardless of Monday's results, Packers at Lions next week will be for the division. Depending on the results of today and Monday, it could also be a de facto playoff game.

If NO beats ATL next week, DET can beat DAL, lose to GB, and miss the playoffs at 10-6.

That would be The Lions Way.

Re: NFL 2016-17: Your Fantasy Team Will Suck This Year.

The Bills odds of missing the playoffs from 2000-2016 were reportedly 1 in 6 million. They did it. (As seen on Twitter).

Money being raised for the Browns' 0-16 parade will now go to a Cleveland area food bank.
