You could probably argue none of those are great teams, but their respective records coming into this week were 3-0, 3-0, 2-2, 3-1, 1-3 and 1-3. I doubt there are many teams that have it worse than that and it's not like they'd be lucky enough to play a team like Chicago every week.:D

Espn.com had the graphic of all the times the Vikings started 5-0 or better in the last 20 yrs and their finish. Talk about a buzz kill!

Every Vikings season that had ever had promise ended with a buzzkill and in ways no other franchise can match sadly - I don't need an ESPN graphic to tell me that. However, Denver got over their 0-4 SB hump eventually, Tampa Bay was one of the worst franchises ever before finally winning a SB...

I would say this MNF game is like a special Olympics event, but that'd be an insult to the special Olympic participants.

Goodness, what a brutal display of football.

F---ing Packer fans. They're funny when they're crying in their cars because they think that they caused Aaron Rodgers make a bad pass by not wearing their lucky jerseys, but less funny when they're (likely) drunk, carrying weapons, and their team is on the downhill slide.

It's been widely reported that domestic violence rises in WI on days da Packahs lose, although when this story occurred they hadn't even played yet. I will self-report here though and call out the Viking fan for, "...his prized Vikings inflatable lawn statue". Perhaps that description was embellished but it wouldn't surprise me if that's how he described it. :D

As for us prairie folk taking the game too seriously, ever been to a game in Philadelphia? ;)

I've been to middle-of-WI bars wearing a Vikes jersey, and they aren't even playing each other that week, and have gotten talk from the local yokels that was more than insults. Basically anything to get me to fight. Not in my face, mind you, juuussssst loud enough for me to hear. Honestly, much like Texas, it's God/Family/Packers (football) and not necessarily in that order.

I've gotten grief from a TSA agent about my Patriots jacket when I went to visit my brother and his family in Austin, TX a few years ago. :/
