NFL 2015-16: Super Bowl and offseason

Re: NFL 2015-16: Super Bowl and offseason

The TD was close, hew knew it would be under review. Look at Archie's face after the touchdown, he did about as much celebrating as Eli. Of the men there, only his brother Cooper showed any sort of excitement, but even that was subdued. They knew it wasn't official yet, and that a two score lead can be wiped out real fast with how Carolina's offense played all season long. Nothing was certain yet.

Jesus, you're right. I should be shot. Helen Mirren circa 1970 is one of my 5.

Preach.

For those pining for more whip-smart snarky good looking English ladies, check out Victoria Coren-Mitchell. She hosts a brain-bustingly difficult game show on BBC 4 called Only Connect, writes the occasional newspaper column, and plays professional poker as well.

She was also a sex columnist who once recorded a porn movie with some friends just to see if they could do any better than the tripe that was currently on the market, and then wrote a book about it.

She has a well-established spot in my "free pass" five.

Ross Tucker is filling in for Dan Patrick this week. Said when he was with the Cowboys, Jerry Jones would deduct $50 per week from their pay checks for lunch, which Tucker says was without a doubt the unhealthiest lunch provided by any of the five teams he was with. Then Jerry charged him $300 for his helmet when he got cut from the team.

A modest proposal.

Helmetless football.

I've never heard it suggested, but based on all of 15 minutes thinking about it I'm sold.

I miss seeing the players faces in the NHL (why yes, I am old), but we will never go back to that unless they ban shots above the waist and good luck with that. But in the NFL there's no frozen rock flying around at 100 mph like the ball in Phantasm trying to drill through your head.

Take away most of the equipment, turn the players from tanks back into humans.

It's funny that I haven't found anything on ESPN's site about it....they know where their bread is buttered.

I remember hearing this rumor when I was following the Winston crap back in '13

Someone had a post on Facebook earlier quoting an unnamed ESPN Anchor saying that ESPN Staff was told not to comment on the Manning deal... Can't remember who had this.... It's quite telling...

Re: NFL 2015-16: Super Bowl and offseason

So, the Broncos need a QB, eh?

Have no fear, TIMMY will be here!

So many teams have to be extraordinarily upset with the Texans right now. They just made every proven QB in the league extremely expensive to re-sign. Osweiller gets $72 million over four year. Dumb.
