You don't have to hate Green Bay to know that was a terrible call, and there's never been any love lost for America's Team.![]()
This is actually a solid point.Seriously though, the silver lining is that this happened to Dallas.
It probably was. But I kind of looked at it like I did a bad call in the old WCHA Final 5 3rd place game involving either Wisconsin or Minnesota. It was kind of amusing, and admittedly a bad call, but basically irrelevant given the game yet to be played, in this case, next weekend. You don't have to hate Green Bay to know that was a terrible call, and there's never been any love lost for America's Team.![]()
Apparently Peyton has played the past month with a torn quad. Happened against Chargers, according to a couple sources.
So...if he was hurt and the Broncos never listed it on the injury report, shouldn't they be fined? I believe the 2009 Jets were fined for doing exactly that with their QB...some guy named Favre....
Broncos doctors knew about the injury, and Manning did what he could to intentionally conceal the injury from as many people as he could, sources said. Manning had been listed on the team's injury reports as having an injured thigh.

I'm curious if he's eyeing that yardage number, and the Broncos talking to him about plans to look into drafting his replacement so that the new kid has a year or two under his tutelage before his retirement. I really don't see Manning taking the Favre route with regards to teaching his replacement.Rectus femoris sounds like something that you'd expect out of Kim Kardashian.
This could explain why he was throwing like a sixty year old beer leaguer, and could make expectations of his demise, like mine, greatly exaggerated. Maybe rest will allow him to recover and play like he was early in the season. But maybe not. The older you get, the more these things happen, the more they negatively affect your performance, and the longer it takes to recover. It's not like he's playing with a concussion and continuing to play risks dementia or CTE, but he is only a couple of years removed from serious neck surgery. And the Broncos have to decide what they want to risk. They were fortunate this year in that they found a really good running game late in the year, but when the playoffs came, and the defenses tightened up and essentially dared him to throw downfield, Peyton's passing ability just wasn't there.
Good info on the Broncos injury report. I saw someone ask on Twitter so I asked here.
I also have seen reports that Serratore never reset the game clock after that catch that wasn't was reversed. I don't know how many seconds it was, but it sure could have made a difference at the end.
On TV there was a replay of Cobb's catch shot from the endzone behind him. That angle made it look like the ball hit the groupd while the angle from Rodgers made it look like a very close catch.I honestly don't know how anyone can call it a terrible call. If you want to complain, I'll listen to talk that it's a terrible rule that should be changed.
And to go back and complain about Cobb's "catch" counting but this one not counting, there is no doubt that in Bryant's case, the ball did hit the ground. I have not been able to see a replay of Cobb's catch other than what I saw on the Lambeau jumbotron, and I'm still not sure he had his hand under the ball, but it is far more questionable than Bryant's play. There were plenty of calls that hurt both teams, so to blame it on that last one is silly, not to mention Green Bay would have had around 3:30 to try and get a field goal.
