Re: NFL 2011: The Suck for Luck edition

I made the joke that I should root for the Broncos today so they would lose and wouldn't you know.

My jinx >Tebow

Re: NFL 2011: The Suck for Luck edition

Up by 123.53 heading into Monday night. He has Ryan, Graham, Bryant, and Weatherspoon. Looks like I'm a Fantasy Football Champion for the first time in the 7 years I've been in the league! $400 richer too!

Big moves today? Playing Gaffney over Wallace, Spiller over AP. GUTSY, but it paid off.

Re: NFL 2011: The Suck for Luck edition

Funny quote from one of my friends on Facebook about Tebow losing.

" Jesus was a little busy at the moment. He had to set up his birthday bash."

Re: NFL 2011: The Suck for Luck edition

Good news: AP didn't tear his ACL or MCL.

Bad news: He tore them both.

Re: NFL 2011: The Suck for Luck edition

Outstanding. I'm no Giants fan but I hate Rex Ryan.

Giants running back Brandon Jacobs reportedly exchanged words with Jets coach Rex Ryan after the game's final whistle.

"Time to shut up, fat boy!" Jacobs yelled at Ryan, according to The Star-Ledger.

It didn't end there.

Jacobs told the New York Daily News that he instructed the Jets coach to "shut the (expletive) up," and Ryan reportedly told the running back to "go (expletive) himself)."

Jacobs also told The Star-Ledger that Ryan went after him on the field "the way his pops (Buddy Ryan) went after (Kevin) Gilbride."

When asked about the confrontation, Ryan said: "We had a private conversation. That's all I'll leave it as. He doesn't like me. I respect him, but I couldn't care less about him."

I'm up 7 with Aaron Rodgers tomorrow night, he has Darren Sproles and Julio Jones..It might be close..

Re: NFL 2011: The Suck for Luck edition

I didn't get to watch much football today, but I did see Charley Casserly on the pregame show talking about the proposed HGH testing rules put forward by the players' union:

1) No In-Season Testing

2) Only 10% of Players Tested In Offseason

3) Player could Decline To Be Tested

4) 24-Hour Notification Before Testing

5) Three Failed Tests Before Discipline

Seems foolproof.

Re: NFL 2011: The Suck for Luck edition

But would St. Louis take Luck when they have Bradford too? I mean, something would have to give there I would think.
Have you seen the rumors floating around about what would be offered for that pick? It's insane (supposedly, 3-4 first round picks might be offered for the opportunity to draft him).

This is why it's so infuriating that MN won today - if they tanked the rest of the way, there's at least a 40% chance or thereabouts that Indy screws up and beats Jax next week. Even if MN had no intention of drafting Luck, they could've turned the top pick into ammunition to speed up the rebuilding process a hell of a lot.

Now, thanks to their own ineptitude, they'll probably pick 3rd at best. Chicago's QB is awful, and with Ponder out due to a concussion, Webb will probably start and MN will destroy them due to their own misguided pride. It's sickening.

Explain how you coach a team to lose? And I mean logically at every level.

If you're Boston Bill? Do the exact opposite of what you normally do.

If you're Leslie Frazier? Don't worry about it. Just keep going about your game plan.

Re: NFL 2011: The Suck for Luck edition

Down 38 in my one league's title game. I got Matt Ryan, but I've conceded.

Up 23 in semi-final with Brees and Gonzalez going for me vs. Turner and Colston.

Also, if I do make the final, should I be worried that Houston sewed up the 3rd seed and Arian Foster may not play? I got Bradshaw, Hillis on my bench. What would you guys do?

Re: NFL 2011: The Suck for Luck edition

Up about 27 against Brees. I'm hoping they rest him but don't tell anyone. Might start a riot.

Re: NFL 2011: The Suck for Luck edition

Guy was down 22 in my league's title game, had ARodg. For reference, Brees v. Vikings scored 20.

He was rather peeved when ARodg was pulled, and he was down by 5 points.
