Re: NFL 2010: Now Extended By Two More Posts
Looking like 1-2 for me this week, thanks in part to a poor WR start/sit decision for me...
League 1: What was looking like a blowout (not in my favor) after the 4pm games became a possible contest thanks to this league's rules giving points for return yards on par with rushing/receiving yards. I trail 119.9 - 84.5, but have Michael Vick and Ryan Torain going in tonight's game so it's possible I could make a comeback. My MVP: Emmanuel Sanders (27.9 thanks in large part to 178 return yards). Honorable mention to Jamaal Charles (18.1). FU to Thomas Jones (2.2), started in tandem with Charles because of byes for two of my other RBs, and Jason Witten (0.7).
League 2: FU, Tom Brady. His ridiculous night turned what should have been a big lead for me into a close contest; I lead 83.8 - 80.3, but my opponent has Chris Cooley going tonight and I need a quiet game from him to hang on and win. My MVP: Joe Flacco (23.1). Honorable mention to Calvin Johnson (18.8) and Jamaal Charles (18.1). FU also to Rashard Mendenhall (5.5) and especially Aaron Hernandez ("Mr. Blutarsky. ZERO POINT ZERO.") for keeping it a close game. I also would be in much better shape if I'd played Brandon Lloyd (21) or even Percy Harvin (12.4) instead of Terrell Owens (6.4).
League 3: Looks like my Rob Gronkowski-related rage may have been unnecessary. Despite his absurd 27.7 points for my opponent (along with 28.2 for Dez Bryant), I'm in good shape leading 161.4 - 116.7 going into MNF, with only David Akers left to play for the other team. My co-MVPs: Calvin Johnson (29.8), Eli Manning (31.8). Honorable mention to Brandon Lloyd (24) and Chris Johnson (24.9). I'd have a bigger lead if I'd gone with Steven Jackson (24.8) or Mike Wallace (36.1) instead of Jahvid Best (5.9) in my W/R flex slot, but it seems unlikely to matter.
