If there's more proof needed that the Lord follows sports, he'll find his way into a 4 year deal in Detroit after this.

Re: NFL 2010: $25K Fine For Talking About Fines

So I think there's a murderer in one of my fantasy leagues. (Like, literally, I read a news item saying that this guy had been arrested and charged with first degree murder.) That's kinda weird.

Re: NFL 2010: $25K Fine For Talking About Fines

Derek Anderson getting hammered by the press was pretty funny

It is funny.

"I'm just telling you what I do every single week! I put my freaking heart and soul into this, I study my *** off, I don't go out there and laugh. It's not funny. Nothing's funny to me. I don't want to go out there and get embarrassed on 'Monday Night Football' in front of everybody!"

Aren't you a lawyer? Don't you deal with murderers all the time? That's how it is in Law and Order.

Tough loss to take, even tougher to hear that, because of a dropped pass, "God hates" my team now. :( Obviously he wants to pass blame for being a butterfinger, but seriously... why the heck is he going THAT route?!

The worst part about all this is you KNOW Westboro is going to show up now.

Re: NFL 2010: $25K Fine For Talking About Fines

Maybe the Bills get some support from the Anti Westboro faction which means sane people. :D

So, I made it a point to watch to watch the TOcho Show simply for the commentary on the AJ/Finnegan incident with them and Deion Sanders, but Vs. has decided that they don't need to broadcast sound along with the picture...

i dont think it was that funny at all. that reporter is a d-bag who kept asking the same question over and over because he didnt like the answer and anderson said mostly all the right things. for the rest of the media to compare that to dennis green is a travesty.

I didn't see the smirk/smile/laughing or whatever, but the reporter DID alter the question to "what was the context;" I mean, did Deuce break the tension, did he make a joke, etc. Usually I'm on the side of the athletes/coaches when it comes to reporters' questions, but I don't think the reporter was really out of line in this case.

They compared that to "They are who we thought they were"? It's not even in the ballpark.

I'd rank it along side of BrettFavre's postgame conference ender: "I'm so emotionally drained right now..." on the comedy scale.

Re: NFL 2010: $25K Fine For Talking About Fines

Derek was laughing on the sideline, it wasn't a smirk. I'd guess Deuce said smething that was funny, big freakin' deal.
