Re: NFL 2009 Thread #3: The Quest for Perfection

Why do punters and kickers get credit for the extra distance behind the line of scrimmage on their kicks?

QB's don't get an extra 7 yards on their pass totals.

Re: NFL 2009 Thread #3: The Quest for Perfection

What a punt by Kluwe!

Someone call a medic I think Romo might be in trouble :p

Wait...I smell 2 defensive penalties in the first 4 plays.

Last I heard punters didnt...the punt only counts from the line of scrimmage on.

oh good, it just seems like the kicks are always longer than the actual distance.

I get why kickers get the End Zone yardage obviously.

Re: NFL 2009 Thread #3: The Quest for Perfection

That penalty was the letter of the law to a T. It definitely wasn't in the true spirit of the law. The punter stepped on him. Not exactly the D guy's fault.

Re: NFL 2009 Thread #3: The Quest for Perfection

So now you can decline a penalty and then change your mind and accept it?

Re: NFL 2009 Thread #3: The Quest for Perfection

Wait what?

How did the vikings decide to take a penalty called on them?

If Dallas declined it, then the play is done?

Re: NFL 2009 Thread #3: The Quest for Perfection

Huh? The penalty is ON the Vikings. I thought it was up to the Cowboys to accept or decline. Am I missing something?

Re: NFL 2009 Thread #3: The Quest for Perfection

Will someone explain to the Idiot in the Booth who is a pox on his good fathers name that the Vikes were CALLED for the penalty and DALLAS chose to accept it.

Thanks.
