Norwich survives to win 3-2 over Nicols?? Yikes
Lakers up 6-1 over UWSP....looks like they represented the West well...
They had four stoppages of play through the first 12+ minutes of the first period. They shut both down and are using the backup. You think they would be committed on fixing it after a month off...
There's a USCHO feature that performs the work for you. I'm sure coaches in the 'other' leagues will remember that fact when the orphan ECAC/W teams come knocking on their league door searching for a home.In ECAC West news, Fun Fact (this is based on a quick scan of the composite schedule, so my apologies if it's off some): with their wins so far this weekend (plus Neumann's shootout tie), the conference improves to .756 through 41 non-conference matchups so far this season.

2nd Nichols goal, Nichols player runs into Dubois, lands on him and holds him down while puck is shot into net. Officials missed one on that play!
Happened right in front of me. It should have been either man in the crease or goalie interference, but for there to be no call at all on that play was totally unbelievable. I don't know what the refs were looking at, but in the end it only made the game closer.
That was one heck of a missed call. Maybe Prez knows the reason why it wasn't called? It wasn't because the ref didn't see it because he was looking right at it (basically right in front of you NUProf) and it happened like it was in slow motion. George Commo said the only reason the ref might have to not calling it, would be that a Norwich player knocked the Nichols player on top of Dubois. BUT, there was no Norwich player holding the Nichols player down for so long that his team mate had time to gather the puck and put it in the net. Would love to see a replay of that!
If the player was knocked into the goalie, he still has a responsibility to make an effort to get out of the way. He didn't
By the way Prez, any news on Thomas after taking out the net in the first period? And I find it amazing that Scott Schroeder came back to play after flipping backwards onto his neck and shoulders. That was one huge gymnastics move aided by a Nichols player. I thought it was a relatively physical game but not too dirty and I think Nichols came out with lots of drive. I had a feeling it was going to be a close game. Norwich's defense played a little better than in the Castleton game, but there is still room for improvement. There was some really pretty passes and shots by Wick but they just couldn't buy a goal. That being said, some of the passes were aweful and there were a lot of wiffs... was the ice a little sticky today? Nichols goalie, Rinn played very well.
Unless I'm mistaken, your conference's record vs. other conferences is not part of the selection criteria. In ECAC West news, Fun Fact (this is based on a quick scan of the composite schedule, so my apologies if it's off some): with their wins so far this weekend (plus Neumann's shootout tie), the conference improves to .756 through 41 non-conference matchups so far this season. Looks like the they've bounced right back into Scary Mode after a down season.
Is Adrian's all time record outside of the MCHA really 8-9-1?
