I can't agree more. Middlebury plays a very defensive style that can beat alot of teams,very impressive.

But they put that floater/hanger/cherry picker on the offensive blue line...that's not playing defensively .

Naval enthusiasts would recognize it as the torpedo. At least it used to be.

To beat them, you have to forecheck them mercilessly for 60 minutes.

Midd's middle two goals were directly attributable to an outlet pass to that guy whatever he's called- After the second one McShane called TO, and suddenly he was less of a threat.

Don't get sucked into Middlebury's record and think they are done. They are the odds on favorite to win the NESCAC once again this season. I'll be stunned if anyone beats them in the NESCAC tournament.

I was under the impression that the torpedo was something entirely different that Midd. also uses.

Could be wrong though....

Finally some love for UWSP. They are playing their best hockey of the year right now and still have a shot at finishing second behind SNC. Won 7 out of last 8, with the only loss a tight 2-1 loss to SNC with the game winner scored with only 41 seconds left.
