New Poll Predictions for 11/29

Re: New Poll Predictions for 11/29

I was wondering if Castleton would get ranked this week because they have won there first 4 games. Trying to estimate how far they would move up if they can defeat both Colby and Bowdoin this weekend at home. Very big weekend for the Spartans.

It's impossible to estimate something like that. Polls first of all have bearing on how you do, but sometimes even more bearing is placed on what the teams do around you in the poll. If every team in front of Castleton sweeps, the Spartans will barely move up even if they beat Bowdoin and Colby.

Re: New Poll Predictions for 11/29

I had 14 of the 15 in my prediction and 12 (including the top 10) in order.
..........and it is of great concern to me

How were you able to pick out Buffalo State? UNless I missed something for me being to naive to give them a thought, I wouldn't even had thought them to get budged in. They did get 6 votes the week earlier but kudos to you for picking them out! :)

Re: New Poll Predictions for 11/29

I'm an NCHA fan too, but your #2 thru #5 are completely whack. At this point in the season, I see it more like this:
1- SNC
2- Adrian
3- GAC
4- Stout
5- Hamline
6- UWEC
7- St. Thomas
8- Superior
9- MSOE
10- Lawrence
11- Point

I just don't understand how you can justify Adrian being #2 in the west after they have dropped games to UWEC and Marian at home. looking at who else they have played is not all that impressive. The same thing goes for Gustavus who lost to UWEC that and Bethel. The best win GAC has is over River which lets be honest, is not all that impressive.

I see your point. I guess I have Adrian at #2 in the western region based on the fact that they are a senior laden team that played SNC very tough in last season's NCAA's. Out of conference this season they have a good win over Hamline and an OT loss to a middle of the NCHA pack UW-EC team. Not bad, and I think that group of seniors who have been there since the programs inception are going to be tough to beat when their season is on the line.

I guess my question to you would be how you justify where you have Superior, who lost to Marian and just allowed 8 goals to St. Thomas? And an under .500 Point team whose losses include one to Lawrence, who hail from a conference you claim isn't even worth mentioning?

Re: New Poll Predictions for 11/29

Judging by Plattsburgh's ranking, I guess the pollster’s don't consider their latest wins to be over teams of significant quality ;)

I think they think that Platts in in a re-building spell/ or work in progress streak...........;-)))
