New format fixes and workarounds

A lot of boards go to setups like this and then after a bunch of complaints end up adding mods to try and make it more palatable. I can say it would be nice if there was a "night" mode because this is way too fucking white and bright.

Though the nice thing is it is way friggin easier to post gifs :)

We need the ability to have an avatar or something distinctive. It's difficult to see who is posing what at a glance.
 
So, my biggest gripe (so far) is that it doesn't tell you who made the latest post on a thread (at least when viewing on a phone). It has the thread creator in a giant font, but just a time of when the last post was made.
 
Latest activity doesnt seem to fix the problem of going to the newest post. It still started me at Kepler's first post. This whole layout and set up sucks like one of Jeb2020's posts.

It’s still vbulletin, but they got the skeleton package, or something.
 
I have my settings set to display 20 threads per page in the forum browsing page, but only 10 threads appear. And so it goes.
 
How do I see avatars and post counts?

Also, smileys don't appear.


Edit: Post counts appear when I went back to newest post at the bottom. My avatar doesn't appear but I do see Slap Shots'.:confused:

So far the only good thing is that ads don't appear in the middle of posts.


Edit: They are now as bad, if not worse, than ever.

Why am I getting notifications now that I didn't before? When I went into settings for notifications I have nothing checked that notify me just becuase someone else posted in a subscribed thread.

My page used to work oldest at the top, newest at the bottom but it's now reverse.

Only 10 topics instead of 20 visible.

It's ugly and I hate it and get off my lawn.
 
No matter what settings I have it always goes to the first page. "Latest Activity" does nothing.

If a thread has more than 500 posts, it seems impossible to see the earlier posts.


Edit: If I go back to newest post at the bottom, I can see all of the posts.
