Re: New England Girls Prep School 2010-2011

From various sources, Cushing results:

Culver (3-0) will play Berkshire (3-0) in the championship game.

Culver beat Cushing 6-0, Winchendon 2-1, and Gunnery to advance.

Berkshire beat Brewster 4-3 OT, Northwood 6-1 and Gilmore 3-2.

Not sure who plays in the consolations, as I can't find a score of the Northwood v. Gilmore game.

Re: New England Girls Prep School 2010-2011

Based on the tourney scores, it looks like the ISL will be an interesting race this year. Looks like any one of 4-5 teams could win it. I would put Lawrence and Governor's at the front, but who know with Nobles, Rivers etc...

Greenwich beats Westminster, 2-1? I am a new prep hockey parent (this is my first post ever), but that seems like a huge upset to me. Is it?

Yes, definitely an upset, but you've got to remember that Westminster is at less than full strength with both Boulier and Daniels at the U18 worlds in Sweden.

Tabor 5, Williston 4 in OT
Frade with 2 goals including the game winner

Congrats to Tabor on their successful Breast Cancer Awareness fundraising effort, illuminated by their special pink uni's.

Re: New England Girls Prep School 2010-2011

Just a comment on last nights Nobles BB&N game. The officiating situation was atrocious. I actually felt sorry for the one official who was left doing the game by herself. It was clear from the outset that she was ill equipped to keep up with the play and on top of that she was by herself. I am not sure but believe that the home team is responsible for arranging officiating and this was an embarrassment Fortunately this debacle did not have a direct impact on the game or its outcome but in different circumstances this could have been a disaster.
