NDSU Bison

Re: NDSU Bison

Why in the blue blazes would ESPN need to go to Bismark??

The entire state of North Dakota is excited about Wentz being not only a first round pick, but possibly one of the first five players taken. The governor is in Bismark, for some unknown reason...., and ESPN might want to talk to the governor who's been publicly cheerleading the young man.

One of the best pro days I've ever witnessed. Wentz reminds me of Joe Flacco. He had 2 55-yard passes that were as pretty as I've seen.

Cleveland is expected to reach agreement with former Redskins' QB Robert Griffin III today, per team source. Griffin III to be a Brown.

Re: NDSU Bison

This was tweeted by John Middlekauff (former NFL scout and 975TheGame host) this morning. First time I've seen Goff's Wonderlic score.

The top 2 QBs in the draft dominated the Wonderlic

Wentz 40
Goff 36

Re: NDSU Bison

Shouldn't the Carson Wentz updates go to the NFL thread rather than the North Dakota Substitute University thread since he's no longer playing for the team? I mean, we're only about a week or so away from the draft. Has he practiced dodging Philadelphia snowballs yet?

Im starting to wonder when one should jump for the QB... You give up a lot of team filler material. Maybe if you've got all but the QB and he's a generational talent. I mean, even if the guy pans out your pantry will be threadbare in years 3-5 so you make your own guy look bad... It's becoming clear that outside of a couple of players that free agency isn't going to be the path to success.

It's strange not seeing Cleveland being the organization that's fumbling around. Eventually the dynamic for all 32 NFL teams will look more like the "mature" operations we see today... I don't know... Some owner groups are just doomed to go down the same rabbit holes.

I find that if you just shorten up "North Dakota Substitute University" for the commonly accepted "Moo U", it will cut down on your typing time.

He's practicing his autograph. Soon the one signature on that contract will be worth millions. He can hire body guards to protect him from snowballs.

Careful with the early assumptions. Carson looks like a solid bet, but a lot of guys have gone high and fizzled fast. He doesn't seem like that kind of a kid, but the limelight can be cruelly short lived. But there are a lot of us Nodaks pulling for him.

Of course but all I'm saying is that first contract will set him up for life. He will probably buy a few new guns for hunting and put the rest in the bank. He's a very conservative North Dakotan like most of us.
