How can some of these teams be so unprepared to play in a title game?

A down, rebuilding, doesn't have the roster NDSU has right now, UND team gave a better fight against the NDSU C'Wentzs during the regular season, and in the FargoWentzDome no less!

Offensive lineman Joe Haeg has been invited to the Senior Bowl. Joe was a walk on at NDSU and obviously has turned into one hell of a lineman. Proof of what the coaches at NDSU can do and proof what determination from a young man can accomplish. As of now he is projected to go somewhere between the third and fifth rounds of the draft.

Yup. The team that held NDSU (at NDSU) to fewer points than NDSU scored in the title game (neutral site). And lost by fewer than the national runner-up too. Now yes, score comparisons are dangerous at best, but if allowed fewer points and smaller margin of victory isn't putting up a better fight I'm not sure what is.

UND is on the rise for sure but that game was over before it started. I know Bubba from his Jamestown College days and he is doing it right up there in Grand Forks. Starts with defense and that's his specialty. I expect a different game when the 2 teams meet again in 2 years.

Props to @Rep1Sports, who signed both Jared Goff and Carson Wentz. Represented Marcus Mariota and Blake Bortles in previous drafts.

In the last 5 years the Bison are 71-5. The same number of losses as championships. That's nuts folks. A good chance at 6 in a row.
