Pssh you’re just a distributor, a pilot fish. Profiteering off our profiteering.

Re: nCoV 2019-2020 Outbreak

God delta waived all change fees for international travel. I have an actual flight to a country on the “Don’t go” list and I can’t get through to delta . Their call back service told me it was more than a 4 hour wait at 6pm. Checked 5 hours later- still more than a 4 hour wait for a callback. Insane.

Re: nCoV 2019-2020 Outbreak

No one would believe how uncrowded ATL was at 5pm today. Plenty of space to breathe on the Plane Train, which is usually a crush scenario at that hour. Plenty of room to maneuver in Concourse B, which is also unheard of at that hour.

I mean, there were people, but not anywhere near the usual numbers.

The airlines official stance to pilots on protecting yourself is, wash your hands.

How long before a USCHOer has confirmed case of Covid 19 ?

Re: nCoV 2019-2020 Outbreak

So if you can get this thing without symptoms, I am assuming you would only call your dr if you are experiencing what could be thought of as flu like symptoms...fever etc?

Re: nCoV 2019-2020 Outbreak

I feel for hospitals and drs offices. Gonna be inundated with people who don't actually have this thing but think they might.

Possibly forever.

It's early days and we don't know what the eventual spread will be, but it will miss many populations of a few hundred entirely. We could be one.

We do seem to have more than our share of travelers, though, so that's not great.

I give it until the second week or fourth week in April.

Without symptoms, only call if you have been directly exposed with a confirmed case.

With symptoms, sure. But keep in mind they present for most as dry cough and fever. Sore throat and runny nose are less common, but still reported. You can find a full list on WHO’s website or even Wikipedia.

Remember hes a science guy. He said so. I think one of his relatives were. It's in the genes.

Re: nCoV 2019-2020 Outbreak

As someone who has a 3 year old and a 10 month old it is absolutely terrifying thinking of them potentially getting it.

The fatality rate for children under 10 is zero. Even the infection rate is very low.

They have no idea why. I read an interesting article proposing all sorts of theories why children aren't being hit with this, but nothing is proven yet. Even young healthy adults are virtually completely safe from this, apparently. It's the elderly and those with pre-condition health issues (and smokers) who are get hammered with it.
