Is this the year we see a new team join this group?
2016-17 ... St. Norbert
2015-16 ... Adrian
2014-15 ... Adrian
2013-14 ... St. Norbert
2012-13 ... Adrian
2011-12 ... MSOE
2010-11 ... Adrian
2009-10 ... Adrian
2008-09 ... Adrian
2007-08 ... Adrian

Scholastica, Marian, and Concordia have had strong seasons. Lawrence has been known to give the top teams fits in the past. Can MSOE crawl out of the spiral-hole they've been in for the past half of the year? Does LFC's goaltending finally carry the team out of the quarterfinal? Or do we see yet ANOTHER Green Knight vs. Bulldog game?

Same old same old.
The NC will also come out of this conference.

Re: NCHA Playoffs

It would be interesting to see if Adrian and SNC both still got at-large bids if say CUW or Marian got the AQ.

The NCHA teams in the middle of the conference (CSS, Marian, Concordia, and LFC) have improved since CSS and SNC joined the 'old' MCHA schools and the 'new' NCHA conference was formed.
With that said, I would expect that SNC will be traveling to Adrian to play the Bulldogs with the auto bid on the line. Loser to get a poll C bid.

^^^This is a list of Harris Cup Champions, not necessarily the NCHA playoff champions. Adrian's championships from '08 thru '13 were for the playoffs from the old MCHA. The first year of the current NCHA alignment was the '13-'14 season. SNC and Adrian have both won it twice since that season.

That's my point. SNC and Adrian have dominated.

Well, you’re still kinda missing the point. Your thread is titled “NCHA Playoffs.” Adrian did not play in the NCHA until the ‘13-‘14 season.

No big deal, but SNC was the NCHA playoff champion in several of those seasons you have Adrian listed.

Would you like me to retitle it NCHA/MCHA Playoffs? It'd would be nice to have a place to talk about the playoffs involving the two best teams in the country.

It’s your thread so can title it whatever you’d like, but you still don’t get it.

Mentioning that Adrian won the 2008 MCHA playoffs is no more relevant to this years NCHA playoffs than it would have been if you had mentioned that UW Stout won the NCHA playoffs in 2009.

NCHA/MCHA/WIAC Playoffs it is!

Re: NCHA Playoffs

Actually, the MCHA was renamed the NCHA when the WIAC schools pulled out of the original NCHA, and the remaining NCHA members joined the MCHA. Technically, the predecessor of the current NCHA is the MCHA.
