Timothy, curious why the women’s team is more compelling to you?

It's a more pure game; speed and flow is what I love about hockey. I don't get juiced by big hits hate interference, though the NHL and NCAA have taken measures to cut that down, which has enhanced it's appeal to me. It's more accessible to the fans and the atmosphere at LaBahn is so awesome. My daughter and I like to sit right on the glass and see the players up close during warm-ups and watch the coaches. It's a pretty big high when MJ sees you wearing a Whaler jersey and he winks and nods his head at you. And my daughter can really relate to watching the girls play being a girl.

Timothy - I appreciate the response. Sounds like a great experience. I also like how there’s a lot less (if any) fighting in women’s hockey. Just don’t have the stomach for it, and hate when play stops for the refs to sort it out for several minutes.

Haha this is cool too. When Wisc came to Erie a couple years ago there was at least one kid in a 1980 USA jersey.
