NCAA Tournament: NMU Wildcats vs. SCSU Huskies

Re: NCAA Tournament: NMU Wildcats vs. SCSU Huskies

And if you stop at Reid's, you can have the Wild Burger:

That think was actually half the size of my face. I felt like not moving for a while.
That burger looks sick. Me wanty.
It was very tasty.

Oh noooo...

Wisconsonites "love" their dead horses.
Deer too!

But good luck finding any that aren't spoken for. Of course, with road kill it's first come, first served, or is that first served, first come?

"Get em while they're still warm"!

I'm here to help

Mpls (if you have the time, or post game):

1. Gasthof Zur Gemuchleikeicht (sp? on that last word); Nordeast Mpls
(the rest are downtown Mpls, 1st Ave/7th St or so)
2. The Shouthouse (piano bar)
3. Brothers/Rosen's/Lion's Pub (good hangout bars)
4. Bootlegger's (live music, off of 3rd/Washington, I believe)

Lame. ;)

1. Glueks - better food, beer and women than Brothers(isn't that a gay bar?)/Rosen's/Lion's Pub.
2. For Nordeast Mpls, go to Nye's Polonaise - once voted Best Bar in America by Esquire with the World's most Dangerous Polka band Fri and Sat, a piano bar and a lounge bar the Rat Pack would kill for.
3. If you don't eat at Nye's and want a Juicy Lucy, go to Matt's or the 5-8.
4. For live music, there's 1st Ave (Black Rebel Motorcyle Club is playing Sat), Lee's Liquor Lounge (E.L.nO. this Friday), Pantages, (Dan & Matt Wilson of Trip Shakespeare and partially of Semisonic play Friday) and Me & My Arrow play tonight at 7th St. Entry.
5. I'd also recommend Psycho Suzi's Motor Lounge for something different.
6. Also in Uptown for a great night I like to get a Singha and Appetizer at Chiang Mai Thai, some sushi at Sushi Tango, and there's great blues for cheap at Famous Dave's - all in the same area.

Re: NCAA Tournament: NMU Wildcats vs. SCSU Huskies

If you go to norteast there are three must stops on the bar tour.

Stasiu's: is the best dive bar in minnesota and has strong cheap drinks.
Mayslack's: has great food and strong drinks.
22nd street station: end your night with a stiff drink and a stiff C**K watching the freaky naked chics on the back stage......

Re: NCAA Tournament: NMU Wildcats vs. SCSU Huskies

Brenthoven and his Merry Band of 'Mos have ruined another thread.

Hurray.

I think this clip will always make me feel good. Surroundings look familiar?

For those alumni/fans stuck in the Lansing area this weekend. Please feel free to stop by the Nuthouse on Michigan Ave tomorrow. We will have a live feed hooked into a TV on the far righthand side of the bar. Let's GO CATS!!

Nye's has good food but the Best Bar in America......not these days. Haven't been there for a number of years but Gasthof's was always a great time. As for close to the X, I've seen everything but Eagle Street listed. It's closest to the X and their tent was a wicked good time last Saturday night (other than the place being packed with Sioux fans, but they were fun anyway.)

Euro, not sure if our group can get there early enough but in case we can what's the status on the tailgating? CIC is having a pregame at Eagle Street.

.

Quite possibly the tastiest burgers around(while both are great, I prefer Matt's). Oh, and for all the UPers, Mickey dinner(yes the very same as the one featured in the mighty duck movies) is not far from the Xcel;)

Just down 7th St attached to the Travelers insurance building. Favorite spot to stop in the morning for breakfast when I drop my sister off at Travelers while I'm visiting town.

Re: NCAA Tournament: NMU Wildcats vs. SCSU Huskies

Leaving GF at around 9 AM tomorrow which should give me ample time for a bar or tailgating before the game. Anything going on Husky fans?

Have to admit that was a fun FF! Ah, the glass boards of the old Civic Center. I think that was our first FF for my wife and I. IIRC the Clarkson Golden Knight mascot got kicked out 'cause he kept slamming himself into the glass and knocked out a panel. :D

Heck of a final game too, and I think I was cheering for NMU in that one (hold over from my '70s era of hating on BU).
