NCAA Semifinal & Border Battle Supreme: Minnesota vs. Wisconsin

Re: NCAA Semifinal & Border Battle Supreme: Minnesota vs. Wisconsin

If UW was a little more particular with their finishing they could have been up 4 or 5 by now instead of down by one.

They had tons of opportunity and was thinking it might cost them.

These single shots from 15-20 ft out ain't gonna cut it for UW. Need support in close and have to get Leveille moving laterally.

Never anybody in front.

And you think the NCAA hired a pro? Not likely.

Her name is Leah Secondo; according to her twitter page, she " is a freelance sportscaster & 3-Time Hall of Famer. Leah was the 1st female sportscaster in WMass & CT & has several broadcast honors."

I assume that means she'll be more likely to get the BC and Harvard names right.

Re: NCAA Semifinal & Border Battle Supreme: Minnesota vs. Wisconsin

Great game tonight. Both teams were just flying in the 1st period. Wisconsin came out with a desire and purpose that I have not seen from them since the days of Knight, Lawler and Co. Loved the two rebound goals in front of the net in the 2nd period by Brandt and Pannek and Menefee's tip of Wolfe's shot was just sweet. There were some strange bounces in there, too and the batted puck out of the air as it was about to plop into the Wisconsin goal was amazing. The 3rd period was kind of strange as it appeared at times that the Gophers were attempting a 20 minute stall from behind their own net. I hated it, but it worked. Thank you Amanda! You were superb.

So we're back to a rematch of the 2005 classic game with Harvard. It should be fun, but couldn't be any more intense than today's game. Whew.

Admittedly, the name Krzyszczyk (the freshman fourth liner who stepped up to the second line after D'Oench got the penalty) looks hard to pronounce, but it's not pronounced "Crowe." Hilary Crowe sustained a broken arm two weeks ago and is out for the season.

Was she pronouncing Picards name correctly? I did not think she was. I thought it was supposed to be Pee-Card, not Pickerd or however she was pronouncing it.

PICKurd, emerANCE...she was nothing if not creative. Probably the NCAA didn't pay her to learn the names.....

Well, someone was dressed wearing the #8 jersey with "Crowe" on it and was +1 for the night. Given that I was sitting right behind the Harvard bench, I'm going to believe my lying eyes.

Crowe did play as Eeyore said. I wondered about that at the press conference on Thursday when Reber said that she and Crowe were looking forward to finishing their careers in their home town. And there was number 8. I didn't notice her early, but she was on in the third.
