NCAA Reform Needed

Says the clueless one who thinks the decision was because of other sports that are in a different conference. Is ok it's evident that your a geneseo guy. No shame in being the 4th best team of a conference.

Geneseo won 5 of the last 8 conference championships before they left SUNYAC and are 8-2 in their last 10 against Oswego. I’m not sure why you think they “ran away” from anything.

They joined empire 8 for all sports, UCHC is essentially the empire 8 hockey conference. SUNYAC was never going to keep a schools hockey team after the rest of the sports left. It’s like the NEWL on the women’s side, SUNYAC women’s hockey except for the name

As has been said before if Geneseo and Brockport don’t leave SUNYAC, SUNYAC doesn’t even consider adding Hobart and Skidmore. Hobart probably ends up back in UCHC assuming the NEHC still folds.

The D3 NPI has now been published HERE. Needs a few more weeks' worth of results before it becomes meaningful.

Will be interesting to see how the dominant teams from the NCHA (3 of the top 4 in the polls) fare with so little cross-region pairings.

Not only is there a lack of cross-region games, but 4 out Aurora's 7 "non-conference" games are against NCHA teams. Hamline and Augsburg are the only two non-NCHA teams on Aurora's schedule. Adrian has a similar problem, with Utica and Hiram being the only non-NCHA teams on their schedule.

Hot take: all in-season tournaments should be mandatory to have 2 east teams, 2 west teams for this reason. (I know it will never happen)

Aurora probably expected to play UWSP in the Dubuque tournament (which would have at least been a non-conference opponent), but upsets happen.

They knew Hobart was joining when they made decision to leave. And this has nothing to do with other sports as they joined empire 8. They claimed they didn't want all that travel to Plattsburgh and canton and potsdam.
No, they did not. And unfortunately you do not have a clue what you’re talking about. These decisions weren’t made with the hockey team at the forefront of their thought process.

Wait a sec am I reading this right? Russ and the Utica fan base are agreeing on something???????. I swear if nubby comes in here and agrees with them this new guy will be the undisputed biggest dumbass on the entire d3 forum

You really need to look up my credentials. Because you are making a complete ass of yourself in front of this board.

Oof. That's not good.
