NCAA Quarterfinal Score Updates

Re: NCAA Quarterfinal Score Updates

I thought so too, till Neumann came from nowhere to win it all a couple of years ago...that conference has earned some respect...

Re: NCAA Quarterfinal Score Updates

HU 5:00 pp coming after SNC player called for contact to head.

Behind the play; not smart

7:53 left

Re: NCAA Quarterfinal Score Updates

Timeout HU. Faceoff in front of SNC goalie with 3:59 left, and :03 in 4/4. Then 1:04 of HU pp.

Re: NCAA Quarterfinal Score Updates

First Neumann goes down, then Elmira. Does anyone else wonder why the ECACW always has such a tremendous SOS from playing each other ? I mean they almost always are outclassed by other conferences in the playoffs.

Glad to see someone else pointing this out....Neumann out of conf teams they played had a 86-106-15 record thanks goodness for the ranked teams in conf and ability to play them 3 times each

Re: NCAA Quarterfinal Score Updates

Final
Hamline 0
St. Norbert 4

SOG 36-20. SNC generally controlled play. Pipers able to keep it close but could not generate any offense.

On to Minneapolis!

Re: NCAA Quarterfinal Score Updates

BJ might have had something to say about not generating any offense. Congrats Knights. GKP!

Re: NCAA Quarterfinal Score Updates

Just getting over the rush of a great but very close Norwich Cadet win. And now look forward to seeing that great St. Norbert's team again. Unfortunately this year I have to watch from where it is sunny and warm--but wish I could be in Minneapolis to see the action in person. Good luck Cadets--Roll On!

O'Brien was solid as always - even saved one with his face. But the D also did a good job of limiting the Pipers' number of quality scoring chances.

The SOS is high because the conference as a whole does extremely well in non-conference play. It's a very similar situation to the NCHA, which always does extremely well in non-conference play which leads to high SOS. I think what it's a case of is, while there is no question both leagues are extremely deep, does either offer up a true elite in a given year?

exactly. they are successful ooc but beat up on each other with no one team establishing themselves as the outright dominant team. parity across the league.
