All I have to say is I'm glad the team has another shot. I hope they go out and prove they belong and get a win or two.

Casey deserves a better game to go out on.

If he (Tuttle) gets hot, they could make some noise in the tournament.

I'll be making the trip down 414 for this one for sure! Should be a good one, but I think Elmira takes it 4-2....

This is great news. But how did this come about in that Manhattanville won the game?

Happy Readings...

The game is just that...a game. There is no automatic bid for those teams. That game has the same meaning in the committees eyes as if it were played back in November. Elmira was still ahead or tied whatever with Manhatanville with all the criteria. Manhantanvilles issue was while they had a decent record, they played most of their NC games against the low tier DIII teams.

If it comes down to goaltending I'll go with Curry. Jakiel has played some of his best in non conference play, He's has been in net for Curry's big non conference wins.

I think they deserve it. Before Satuday's game, Elmira was 4 spots ahead of
Manhattanville in the regioinal rankings. The one game (as you said, which is weighted the same as a game in November) should not have boosted Manhattanville high enough to overtake the Soaring Eagles.

Jeez...somebody actually said it!:D You're not going to get into an NCAA tourney with SOS rank in the 30's unless you have an autobid or go undefeated. Simple.

As well as a Trip to Northfield the DIII Hardcore Belt will be on the line

Wow. Emery gave Elmira a compliment?! Then again, new coach this year. Next thing you know he'll be shaking hands after the game. Oh the horror! :D

Actually I think both programs respect each other, they just don't like each other.

So has any of the EC players/coaches arranged a time for the whole team to watch The Replacement in preparation for Wednesday night? Besides being hysterically funny, the part where Gene Hackman's character goes into his inspirational speech about every athlete dreams of getting a second change seems apropos.

I'm unsure, but I was just looking on fa$thockey to make sure they were showing tonight's game. They are, but that's not what I found interesting...

The button that usually says "buy" says "play", and when it is clicked, it brings up a video screen (which obviously shows nothing since the game is not ongoing :P) instead of the usual "confirm purchase" screen.

Can this be taken to mean that <strike>Fa$thockey</strike> Fasthockey is showing this one free of charge?

Re: NCAA Play-In Round Curry @ Elmira: Wed. Mar 10th

Fasthockey has not charged for Elmira home webcasts in the past that I know of...and they should not considering it's a single camera with ambient sound...I have paid to watch Elmira on the road the past four years, but not at home.
