Maybe overall. On a per-capita basis, I can't believe anything would beat out the 99.99% of Tennessee high schools that play "Rocky Top" - after every first down....or halfway decent tackle....or just because the waterboy scooted off the field in a particularly spirited way....

I seem to be super unique in this department...

Imagine my surprise when college RaceBoarder went to the Joe for his first CCHA Super Six and he got to hear Miami's fight song for the first time and he had the weirdest sense of De Ja Vu come over him :eek::eek::LOL::LOL::LOL:

US Collegiate Selects team is going back to Davos for the next two years for the Spengler Cup. I had such a great time in the one game I went to last year, I had already booked accommodation a few months ago hoping they'd be back again.

I can highly recommend going. An awesome, historic barn with friendly fans who don't take the tournament too seriously, and great off-day things to do.

Why can't it be PSU or even a closer team like Notre Dame? We've had more than enough games outside.
Attendance/gate revenue. They want the hype of hosting a potential #1 outdoors. Notre Dame isn't in a spot to deliver that right now and maybe Sparty was already booked for something else. Also, I'll be blunt - no one really cares about playing Penn State in hockey. They're still the new kid on the block.

I wouldn't have minded MSU being chosen for this, though that has a good chance of being the GLI Championship. Guessing that game means another UM/WMU home and home.

Waldo might actually be a good spot for an outdoor game. It's small enough that no one should be too far from the ice.

I'm just tired of playing outside games.

I can't speak for other Michigan fans, but not many I know think they are appealing anymore. We had our once in a lifetime event with MSU. Twice. And I seem to think we've played every other B1G team (other than PSU) outside. We've already played Western outside.

Western fans may be able to pack their stadium, but I can't see Michigan fans filling in the gaps- like both MSU and UM did at their away games against each other.

I know this is hard for you having to play an OOC game away from Yost, and worse It will make a rival school look good. Maybe if you win the natty you won't be sending such little bro energy.
