Lost in all this “oh no how sad for Penn state” and “oh no that’s probably McKenna’s last game” talk is Daloot being the higher seed.
I mean... does it matter?
I think all of ncaa was cheering against Pedo State.
Even NCHC schools cheer for success of their conference rivals but very few people wanted dalooot to lose.

The obsession by ESPN over McKenna while other top 10 picks this summer are ignored is frustrating for fans who care more about the overall quality than a 3 seed who underperformed.

Going back to this, this leaves AHA with nine teams. If they want to get back to an even number, that means LIU or Stonehill getting the call, which would reduce independents to four. Maryville is coming in a couple years, but unless Tennessee State actually happens, this puts a big wrench into getting the Alaska and Missouri schools into a league.

Maryville in St. Louis? We really need the Billikens back up then, and to promote Washington U. Make St. Louis the Boston of the West, except with attractive women.

We all know ESPN's MO. They are lazy. They take one stupid narrative or one stupid sob story and wrap the entire broadcast in it. Because they are talentless and brainless junk food. They are the MCU of sports.

it was kind of sickening to me how they played his punch on someone that it was some kind of tragic thing he needed to overcome, especially since fans were so tough on him. The kid punched someone and charges were dropped, for crying out loud. They even said he punched someone in an altercation, and charges were dropped.

It really made me mad how they constantly played him up. Including calling him the best player in the B1G all the time.

That was worse than lazy.

Maybe the victim was the one who dropped the charge, but for him to admit he punched someone and faced zero consequences on the team?

It's almost as if commercialism is devoid of any instinct other than profiteering.

Greed poisons everything it touches and capitalism is the pure distillation of greed. Of course ESPN sucks. They all suck. Anybody who tells you different has just fallen for marketing.

I think this really opens the door for LIU. For starters, the women's side of AHA really needs another team or two, because they are just an RMU/Mercyhurst decision or two away from disappearing. So, whoever they take, has to have a women's team. Yes, Stonehill fits that bill (if they are willing to leave NEWHA, which apparently Sacred Heart is not...) and travel there is probably easier, but I think LIU's commitment to hockey has been impressive and it gives them a (pseudo) NYC media market.

ESPN is bummed we're wasting a Spartan-Badger Big Ten game in a regional final. Any way they can swap out the loser for one of the lesser teams like Denver or NoDak for the Frozen Four?

They also called UMD's win yesterday an upset. Even though it wasn't.
They just called it an upset again.

Only an "upset" in terms of name recognition and alumni bases.

Not that it matters. The ratings will be garbage no matter what, and this is a guaranteed loss leader for ESPN. Worth it because they make bank on orange ball.
