Speaking of coaching, I always see Jerry York taking notes as the game progresses. Tonight I saw RIT's coach doing the same. I have never seen Mr. Umile writing down anything. I wonder if the fact that a coach should observe what the opponent is doing and formulate a plan as to how he should direct his team to counteract this has ever occurred to Mr. Umile.

Well I wish RIT nothing but the best in Detroit. This is a very good program and deserves good things to happen to it.

The game completely changed after Speelman hit the pipe. UNH gave up the goal on that rush and then another and it was all over. Until that point it was anyone's game.

Just unbelievable underachievers year after year when the post season comes. RIT must be good, afterall they beat Denver but this really hard to understand, 5-1.

That's a fair point... But it looked to me that RIT was in control of the game.. UNH did not get a lot of rubber to the net..

No. UNH controlled the first half of the first period. They controlled play and moved the puck out of their end seemingly effortlessly.
I think RIT made some adjustments, a concept heretofore unknown to Mr. Umile.
Then, RIT controlled the game 100%.

Empty net but UNH commits a penalty to prevent the ENG.

Looked like a world class embellishment.

Not pretty when the announcer describes you as having been "destroyed". :rolleyes: Cruel but reasonably fair.

Wow, after letting RIT thug it up for the entire third period, now they understand what penalties are.
