The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
So question: With the addition of the ECAC North Atlantic next year, what are the rules for a league receiving an auto-bid to the NCAA tourney? Also, is this enough new teams to expand the women's tourney by another team?

Asked and answered in the ECAC North Atlantic Hockey League forms thread:
"With the access ratio of 6.5 per one team for the NCAA Tournament that gives us 8.92. We still need one more team on order to get to a nine team NCAA Tournament .
The ECAC North Atlantic will have to wait two years until they get an autobid to the NCAA Tournament."
Should the field remain at 8 teams the NCAA Tourney would likely be a 6 from East & 2 from West. If the tourney gets to 9 teams it's possible a 6 / 3 could happen but the mighty NC$$ will decide. Hopefully the WIAC still gets into the NCAA tourney.
