NCAA D-III Championship @ Ridder - Going for the Dunning Double..Roll Call!!

Re: NCAA D-III Championship @ Ridder - Going for the Dunning Double..Roll Call!!

I believe in an earlier post somewhere SNC sid said that championship is online only. Turner sports?

I sure wish we could get this matter straight. I was told no tv.

Re: NCAA D-III Championship @ Ridder - Going for the Dunning Double..Roll Call!!

For those visiting over the Championship weekend, I want to provide another word of caution. The Twin Cities and in general our entire region is set for some historic flooding this year. Temps are now warming up here to the 50's. If the temps remain high and we continue to get rain as snow melts, flooding could impact your travel around the TC metro that weekend.

It's a common thing around in this part of the country, but this year is suppose to be particularly bad. Just keep that in mind when you get here. Be sure to check local news/Minnesota DOT for possible road closures due to flooding. You won't be stranded, it just may take longer to get from A-to-B because of detours.

This is a small concern for you, but something to keep tucked in the back of your mind. :D

Just got mine, and I will be right behind you in Row 6, Ranger! I am flying in from NYC Friday morning. We will have to get together before the game somewhere.

We might be tooling in not so long before gametime, but for sure, at some point Friday mj - I'm down.:D

So is upper part of Section 12 the Oswego St section then, or is it just St Norbert's area?

from what I can tell this is a "general" section; SNC was given tickets in sections 10 and 11 (I think).........if anything I guess people may try to move around to get groups together in the areas they typically like to sit......like my fellow "blue liners" from our home rink.

Re: NCAA D-III Championship @ Ridder - Going for the Dunning Double..Roll Call!!

There are Adrian fans in Section 12 also. I called U of MN Gopher ticket office and asked if we were limited on where we had to sit and was told that we could request any seat that isn't already sold. I purchased 2 tickets in the first row in section 5 right behind the Adrian bench. Talk to a live ticket agent at 800-846-7437.
Someone asked when the doors would open so I asked and they said 2 hours before each game.
GO BULLDOGS

One thing I'll chime in with here:

I notice a lot of people seem to be staying downtown. Living here, and were it me, I'd forego that option and stay somewhere in the slew of hotels up along 35W. Might be an even quicker in/out to Dinkytown and could also be a few bucks cheaper.

I also would not recommend taking a cab down there (unless you all plan on getting drunk, which I can fully appreciate). Waste of time and money. Parking around there is not much of an issue, really. Don't forget, the Ridder is right next to Williams Arena and Mariucci Arena. If the area can routinely handle Gopher basketball and hockey games -- not to mention 40k people for football games as TCF Stadium is right there too -- it's not going to blink at this. Even on a Friday afternoon. I forget the lot numbers but BDR has them in his guide. Park there or in the ramp. Short walk either way.

As for lodging, just google "Roseville, MN hotels". Oh, and don't stay at the Super 8 on University unless you're big on leather, spandex and fetish parties. Just a thought.

One more: After living in Los Angeles I'm terribly spoiled when it comes to Mexican food, but for anyone in the mood I'd recommend Las Mojarras, which is at 1501 E Lake St. in Minneapolis.

Maybe a taaad pricey for Mexican (which is all relative...I don't consider $12-15 pricey for a good entree of any kind), but if you're one for some of the traditional non-staples like soups, talapia, and other seafood-based dishes in particular, etc....it's pretty **** good.

Where did you see this?

Is this a joke? Doyle is like 82 by now. I feel sorry for all the guys that busted their butt to get there if this is the crew they are sending.

I think I will be the only person in the building wearing Salem State apparel.

And my alma mater has no class. They beat Salem State in baseball 21-3.
