There it is.

Elders speak of the day when there were two trees. :(

That is so sad. They mate for life, you know.

Re: National Semi-Final: Minnesota vs. North Dakota

The North Dakota legislature has been in discussion of reclassifying the sugar beet as a tree, and this would make all of North Dakota proud.

Indeed. Getting a legislature to actually do anything is quite the accomplishment.

Re: National Semi-Final: Minnesota vs. North Dakota

I know. We still have several days making fun of your tree, the Olive Garden, and your team full of Canadian hacks. We can't have wandered this far away this quickly. The game is still over a week away.
This thread reminds me of the situation where you have two longtime neighbors. They know practically everything about each other. Then one moves away. Life goes on. After a time they are suddenly thrust together again, at a wedding or other event. You'd think they'd have a lot to talk about, but after rehashing the old stories the conversation just turns into this bizarre discussion where each couple has no idea what the he!! the other is talking about.

Pretty good analogy.

Though I will say, once the game starts, I'm sure the animosity will come flowing back :D

Pfft, shows what you know! I don't use a rocker, it's a Lazy Boy!
He is nowhere to be found today and the thread seems to be pumping up a little bit. Wonder what one of his many teams he is off following....

Re: National Semi-Final: Minnesota vs. North Dakota

Just showing how UMn's contingent in the NHL is just a Ryan Getzlaf away from being able to out produce ALL THREE of its FF opponents combined.

irrelevant as far as this season is concerned. But impressive no less.
Your idiocy is remarkable.

I'm just going to say it...

This is a stupid topic, even for this thread...

thread winner.

With all this talk of WWII... I have a question.

I had the pleasure of visiting the Ralph this year to see the Broncos take on the Sioux. Brilliant Arena, hands down the best college sports venue. BUT...... Ralph Engelstad was a Nazi sympathizer, a creepy one at that. Threw a Hitler birthday party? Paintings of himself dressed in a Nazi uniform? ***?

Why don't Gopher fans poke fun at this more? Or why isn't it brought up that Ralph was actually a Minnesotian? I just feel like this would be brought up more, like the "whioux" thing...

Patience, Grasshopper. By game day, every sin or perceived sin on both sides will have been discussed.
