We basically invented radio, TV, computers, the internet, Viagra, Teflon, SPAM, Pacemakers, scotch tape, post it notes, magnetic poetry, the Cyclotron, the mass spectrometer and prevented the world from going hungry!!! Or at least helped invent those things.


And that's just a partial list.

Well, we may have done more than anyone else when it comes to putting the thought of time travel into the thoughts and minds of the people of America.

And I'm a fan of sci-fi and honestly, what sci-fi movie doesn't have a particle accelerator in it? Or a super computer? Or a Skycar?

Futurist and UMn grad David Passig says we'll have warp drive by 2095. And he predicted 9/11 and the 2008 financial crisis so who knows?


And UMn and Space Exploration basically go hand in hand.

Is scoring the first goal more important to one team than the other? Does a tightly called game (as opposed to straight 5-on-5) favor one of the teams?

I'm guessing that more of those that are not fans of either team will be pulling for Union. Being a B1G fan I'll have to buck that trend but Union has paid their dues and would be a well deserving champion.

IIRC, MN is 19-0-2 when leading after the first period. Also, 9-0-0 when Sam Warning scores a goal.

I cry foul. The fact that erectile dysfunction has been epidemic in Minnesota for generations does not entitle Minnesotans to claim credit for Viagra.

Come on, don't generalize. Just because you have a propensity to talk about male sexuality, you don't see Gopher fans labeling that as an epidemic amongst NoDak fans.

OK, as most drugs go, seldom can one person can be pointed out as having invented a drug, but Louis Ignarro, a UMner, won a Nobel Prize in Medicine for his contributions that have led to his being called the "father of Viagra".

ok, not sure if that worked? I'm not a computer genius like all the UMners who invented the internet, developed the whole "url" thingy or coined the term "surfing the internet", but the video is DJ Snake & Lil Jon's Turn Down For What. Definitely a fitting video to watch while discussing Viagra. lol

Good thing the coaches stayed out of this thread so that Mr. Multiple personalities could show how insecure he is by talking about the civil war contribution of the state he was born in.

Still think the key to success for the Gophers is to get 2 goals from their forwards. When they have done that this season, they have been pretty tough to beat.

They have to get pucks on net and get bodies in front. Need to bury a few dirty goals tonight.

Are you seriously that anal? Dude, lighten up a little. Eat some SPAM, watch a good Cohen brothers comedy, listen to some Bob Dylan or Yanni and pull the stick out of your arse while your at it. :)


And btw, having multiple personalities is more fun, I don't get lonely or bored. And its not insecurity, its a Napolean Complex.
