Does there need to be a school attached to a bid? Or could the Dallas Stars say "hey, lets put together a bid for the Frozen 4!"?

Boston? The city that "embraces" college hockey by not being able to put together a reasonable bid? Detroit? Whose idea of a suitable venue is a football field?

Didn't the NCAA approach Ford Field? Or was it really a Detroit idea?

Yes, only go to the places where it is already known and popular. NEVER try to expose new areas and new fans to college hockey. That's a bad idea.

An unreasonable bid in Boston, is better than most reasonable bids in other places. The history of college hockey and the Frozen Four in Boston speak for themselves.

That said, Detroit sucked.

UTSA has put in a bid to host at the (then) SBC Center in San Antonio. You don't need to have anything to do with hockey to host.

Nashville would be great. It's a crazy town with neon dreams.:D
