Sadly, there's not a ton of advancement from the SPHL to better leagues. The Central Hockey League was a better route for that, but with all of the shuffles with its merger into the ECHL and then the AHL/ECHL reorganization, there's probably a too-big gulf between the ECHL and everywhere else.
