My Stanley Cup Runneth Over

Re: My Stanley Cup Runneth Over

By no means do I love Iginla, but by all accounts he's a better fit with Boston than Pittsburgh. I also like the fact he's younger than Jagr and Alfredsson. Eriksson is also a very good all around forward and only 27. Trading Seguin might hurt somewhere down the line but I really do think the Bruins will be better next year with Iginla and Eriksson than if they kept Seguin. To me, the Bruins still look like a team that can compete for the Cup next year. This is more aggressive than we're used to seeing from Chiarelli, perhaps realizing the small window remaining with Chara.

Burying all other news:

Well, I guess we can just give the Cup to the Pens now. :D

Setoguchi to Winnipeg for a 2nd to make room.

Lolololol:

My team possibly "ruined" hockey, but we never had Matt Cooke on the roster. :p

Re: My Stanley Cup Runneth Over

Cooke to the Wild is hilarious...perhaps the first fan base that truly hated him with a passion.

I don't get all the complaining.

The way I see it, the likelihood that Cooke ends Parise's career - or Suter's career - just went down by like 90%.

Re: My Stanley Cup Runneth Over

Not a fan of Cooke by any means, but people freaking out to the extent they are is hilarious. You'd think we signed Bertuzzi or something.

On the flipside, the people who are saying "OMGWTeFFBBQ I HATE HIM SO MUCH HE'S A WORTHLESS POS DBAG! But I'll cheer for him now since he's on my team." are amusing me greatly.

Re: My Stanley Cup Runneth Over

Fess up, Gurt. How much paint thinner did you spike Fletcher's coffee with this last week?

I assume that Fletcher is your GM?

I'm sure that everyone will love Cooke the first time he takes a run at one of the Sedins or Hossa, etc, etc...

I hope he does well here. First time I've ever hoped that Matt Cooke has good fortune, but he has that sweater on now.

One would think that the Wild have never had a dooshbag on the roster before.

Chris Simon
Todd Fedoruk
Derek Boogaard
Matt Johnson
Stephane Veilleux

I would defend Boogaard, Fedoruk and (to a lesser extent) Johnson any day of the week, and Simon dressed no more than a dozen times. Compared to certain other teams that shall remain nameless, we've got freakin halos.

I think a lot of people consider Clutterbuck a jerk too, but he is not dirty at all. Agitator? Yes. Cheap? Hell no.

Re: My Stanley Cup Runneth Over

How do people feel about getting rid of Setoguchi (sp) to sign Cooke?

I thought he was pretty good...

Hate it, even though they're completely different players. I hate the Cooke signing and will hate it more the first dirtbag move he makes wearing their Wild sweater. If he plays clean I will happily eat crow.

Re: My Stanley Cup Runneth Over

Setoguchi was too streaky for me to ever really like him much. He was just "okay" to me. If they do something good with the pick they got for him I'll be happy.
