I'm glad my mom seems happy for the first time in many years - but seeing the two of them together really sucks. She told me when I first found out that they met in the Grocery store she works at...she's a cashier and he works in the Deli department.

What would you guys do? Jesus...I havent even told my dad yet. He'd probably take a shot gun to the guy.

I'm curious as to the percentage of those written by their readers and those "submissions" written by their staff. Assuming that even those submitted by readers weren't entirely (mostly) truthful, was it something like 1 of 20 were actually submitted by a reader?

When I was a very young teenager, I came across the Penthouse stash one of my older brothers had. Reading them at the time, some of the stuff they had in those stories just had me in awe. Then came the realization what was going on there and it left me wholly disappointed.

My guess is they never got one single reader letter.

I also remember realizing, about 12 or 13, that it was all fake. It was like losing Santa Claus.

I had a very similar with Penthouse as a young teenager. Reading them, I experienced an initial and mounting sense of awe and excitement followed by a deflated feeling. Just about every time, regardless of the article.
