He's a great buy. I met him when he was a frosh. I skinny little yutz who could only dream of facial hair. Now he's trying to match Jake Plummer and go with the mountain man look. It works. Love it.

Side note 3: This game has done little to diminish my ****ed-off-ness of last night. Yippee. We beat a team we should have smashed last night. I still saw some gawdawful stuff in this game too. NC caliber team? I doubt it. Perhaps this team can infuse a bit more enthusiasm in me next weekend if they play well against the Corncows.

They'll be pumped. Expect big crowds at the Qwest Center. Give Blais his props.
Frank Serratore and I came this close to working together at UNO. He was under consideration for head coach and I for pbp guy. They hired Mike Kemp (in part, they said, because he had help to organize an INTRAMUAL team in the past) instead. And the rightsholder to the broadcast hired (I kid you not) some dude who sold hot dogs at the Metrodome to do PBP. I'm guessing he worked cheaper than me, although maybe not.
