I was being sarcastic, since the players probably shouldn't be drinking before face off on game day, even if Alanna offers to pull the train.

I once talked to an out of town lady who made a trip to Denver for a weekend series and she thought the Border was terrific, talked quite a bit about how much she liked it. Evidently she showed up on a weekend when there were no felonies.

I'm slow on the uptake. You're talking about Border the bar? I've got Borders the bookstore on my mind. Ours is closing in Dillon.

The bar. The very best in cheesy, boozy, testosterony campus type bars. Closed, I thought. But maybe reopened.

A couple of years ago a guy in my fraternity (who had serious boxing experience on his resume) knocked some turkey out of his shoes in the Border, which greatly impressed the pledges.

I owned that place one night a few years ago. Look on DG's blog under CO14ers. The infamous Dream On singing photo was taken on that night. Oh, glory days...
